Epic Fail Feb 7, 2010
Yes, the title of this post easily defines the substance of this website.
As much as I longed for an opportunity to have a voice online, to communicate and exchange ideas with my readers – it just wasn’t happening. Many of you abhor the fact that I’ve been absent, and for that I apologize.
The reality of the situation is that I’ve got better things to tend to. The web is still important to me…but this website – not so much. I contemplated on what I’d do with this site and the best thing for me to do is to let it go. It expires in early July anyway, thus if I put anymore time into this site it would be for nothing because I don’t have the means to re-new the domain, plus the person who purchased the domain has disappeared off of the face of the Earth. How this website is still online, I have no clue. I don’t know where Jenn went and she hasn’t replied to my e-mails.
I’ll be back…somewhere. New name, new place, new ideas. Blogging is inevitable for me, just at this point in time it’s not so “me.” The good bloggers have fled the scene or leaving just as I am. I kind have no point here….
But like I said, I’ll be back. Maybe sooner than you think. You just need to keep an open eye for the name Jay. I miss you all already!

I know how you feel, which is why I took an 8 month hiatus. I needed to clear my mind and detach myself from the blogging world for a bit. It is sad that many I used to converse with through my site have up and disappeared, but I guess some good things don’t last forever. However, in that time I took off, I realized that I didn’t want to have a site for my visitors anymore, as selfish as that may seem. Whether I have 1,000 visitors and 50 comments on each blog, or 20 visitors and no comments on each blog, it doesn’t matter. My site is for me now. It’s therapy for me, to just get my thoughts and feelings out in written (well, typed) form. If people read my blogs, great. If they gain inspiration or some kind of valuable lesson from my blogs, even better. But if God is the only one reading my blogs, that’s okay too. So my advice to you is do what you want, not what anyone else wants. If you want to close this site, then so be it, and I wish you all the luck in your future endeavors. If you plan to start another blog elsewhere, well then I’ll be glad to follow you and remain a reader and friend. Just listen to your heart, and do what truly inspires you.

@Christine, Thanks for understanding. I most definitely will be returning. Maybe just on a wordpress site or something. I can’t afford domains and all that other fancy stuff.

Oh no Jay!
I do understand, sometimes you just need the time for yourself. I left for well over a year and I came back, so it’s possible. I know what you mean, everyone is disappearing at the moment. Life just takes over.
If you ever need anyone to register a domain and host ya, I’m here! I’d be happy to
P.S I’m glad you like the idea of Design Fiends, and if you ever wanna come on board I’d love to have ya

Sucks that you’re leaving the blogosphere for now. I’m doing the same. In my aim to be a bit more ‘professional’ I need to put blogging behind me

. I still haven’t fully returned to my site… I’m not sure I even want it
. I’m thinking of starting a new one with my best friend and documenting our life after college, but yeah lol. Good luck with everything!!
