The Pressure Phase Dec 3, 2009
New layout!
I’m a little late getting the layout up…obviously. When school started back there was just no time for the computer, and I haven’t even really been home this week…. but better late than never right? I’m feeling kind of pressured right now, but it’s okay – I think. Final exams are coming up and I’m dreading the thought of bubbling in answers when Test day comes.
I had to stay after school everyday this week and have just been busy busy busy. Getting ready for a band Christmas concert in just a few days, getting my AP project together, preparing for All State auditions, and trying to manage school clubs can be a bit overwhelming. Today, at school I was a little “blah” because I was exhausted from late nights and thinking too much about things so I’m just going to try and calm down this weekend and meticulously prepare for finals.
I thank all of your for commenting on the last post. I think like that quite often and will now post more of my inner thoughts because they have seemed to touch a lot of you. I love inspirational writing and can literally type on different subjects all day. I kind of have this goal of having a book published before I’m 30. We’ll see how that goes so don’t forget my name.
Tomorrow is no school for me. I’m in a club called FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America) and we’re taking a trip to Athens, Georgia for a conference. We get to stay there over night (returning Saturday) so I’m quite interested to see how that will go. I’ll definitely be blogging about it…that is if it’s an interesting experience.
In the mean time, feedback on the layout is appreciated!

Oh, how I wish I could code like you o.o Do you design first then code? I’ve always wondered that.. The layout is so great. I love you you have the comments and I love the little skiing santa icon lol.
Dang you have a lot going on but hopefully you get through all of it. I have midterms coming up in about 2 weeks. I’m dreading it as well. But I’m pretty sure I’ll pass :p
AGH! I just can’t stop staring at this design. Makes me feel so inferior lol

@Jaylin, DON’ T FEEL INFERIOR. This is nothing but images…very little code for the base…most of my coding is just a lot of CSS but the content and sidebar and stuff is just very standard. Yes, I design first and then code. Isn’t doing it the other way a bit backwards? lol

@Jay, Ya it’s kinda backwards but that’s usually what I do; code first and then design ha. Idk it’s weird how I do it. But I’m trying to learn how to design first

@Jaylin, Awesome! I love hovering is one of my favorite CSS attributes, especially for DIVs. Also, to challenge myself and for a change of pace, next time I’ll code first.

I hate exams where you have to ‘bubble in’ I prefer fill in the blank. =D
The way to feel less pressured is just to write down what you have to do or make a schedule, prioritize, then whatever little free time you have left you need to rest and leave the online alone on a day where you have very little to do. That’s what I do…well I will start to do. =]
Have fun on your trip! =] I would love to write a book to, about one aspect of my life – relationships. hehe. (^_^)

Yay more inspirational writing! I think a book written by you would do well.
I’ve just read your reply to Jaylin, lmao I must be backwards… I code first haha. I’m starting to like Christmas, everybody’s layouts are so christmassy and cute!

Sorry about all the pressure. But hey that’s high school for you. I’m also really stressed out as I also had to stay after school last this week and with APs and tests and yeah..it just gets stressful. Hopefully youll be able to relax during xmas break!

Wow what an awesome layout!
Enjoy the trip – we have something similar like that here in SA. It’s called JA(Junior Achievers) and focuses on budding, young entrepreneurs.

I’m sorry things are so busy for you right now.. they always are this time of year for a lot of people -sigh- It sucks that all the school stuff seems to come together at once! It’s the same for me :/
I have the same goal, kind of, but mine is just to publish at least one book before I die, haha. I think you’d could do it ^_^ I’ve read a few things that you have written on here before, and I really liked them.
Ahh, I used to be in FCCLA, Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America, and I remember that the one conference I went to was so fun! I hope you had a great time!
